Brenden Conway
Being dragged to his first race at the age of eight, Brenden became a quick study to racing keelboats. Brenden spent several years "growing up" on keelboats and decided to make a transition into racing more efficient sailing crafts. With Brenden's background, transitioning into catamarans and dinghies came very naturally as he spent the next several years becoming a more proficient racer. Brenden then spent his high school sailing career enjoying success in catamaran and dinghy racing throughout the challenging Great Lakes.

Taking a hiatus in sailboat racing events for several years to focus on his schooling, in 2005 Brenden accomplished three significant feats for himself, achieving a 100 ton United States Coast Guard License, MCA Yachmaster Offshore (European Equivalent to the USCG 200 ton license) all the while continuing his education and completing a degree in Eco-tourism and Adventure Travel. Since graduation, Brenden has pursued jobs in the sailing industry from the Bahamas to the Pacific Northwest, and while training for the Olympics, intends on making a living working throughout the sailing industry.

When not training in the 470, Brenden stays sharp by racing Lasers, and the former Olympic Class keelboat, the Soling.
